The Cottages

The six architect-designed cottages are airy, spacious and tastefully decorated with high raked ceilings and log fires.

There are two bedrooms – one queen room and one twin room with an extra single fold-out bed available on request (please discuss with us on booking).

All beds have electric blankets, snug doonas and wool blankets and there are spare blankets in all bedroom wardrobes. All linen and a full selection of towels are provided.

The cottages contain a modern kitchen area with microwave, stove, fridge, crockery, cutlery, cooking equipment and private laundry and washing line. We also provide tea and plunger coffee facilities.

The spacious living area includes TV, DVD & CD players, a sofa, comfortable chairs, a coffee table and a dining suite. All cottages have a covered parking area and are on town water.

Drift away at Mystery Bay

“We’ve discovered some breathtaking places together – but Mystery Bay Cottages will forever be remembered as one of the best” – Eamonn Duff, Sun Herald

Why do people keep coming back?

Perhaps it’s the quality of our six private, spacious two-bedroom cottages set between National Heritage parkland and the Pacific Ocean.

Or is it the draw of our great facilities – the tennis court, games room with table tennis, table soccer, air hockey, books, games and DVD library, floodlit barbeque area and, of course, lovely Billy’s Beach within 150m of the back gate?

Perhaps it’s just the opportunity to kick off your shoes, pull up a chair and relax – on your sunny verandah or in front of a log fire.

Fun and games

On site, guests can enjoy a game of tennis on our full-sized clay court (equipment provided). Or they can battle it out at table tennis, table soccer and table ‘air hockey’ in the games room – which is also stocked with board games, toys and a DVD library.

Cyclists can ride the tracks and quiet roads surrounding the property and for those who like to eat alfresco, we have a floodlit barbeque area surrounded by trees.
