  • Join the Slow Food Revolution at The Stay!
At the end of the day let Kathryn and Peter pamper you with a delicious evening meal from their constantly evolving Slow Food Menu. There are full meals to satisfy a big appetite or lighter meals for the smaller appetite.

All meals are designed for two and to ensure the availability of ingredients please give at least 24 hours notice for meal choices. All seafood is Product of Australia.

Seared kangaroo fillets on a bed of quinoa tabbouleh with a spicy yoghurt dressing.
Seared Atlantic Salmon
$30 pp

Savour seared Atlantic salmon with steamed asparagus spears drizzled with extra virgin olive oil on a bed of Kathryn’s special mashed potatoes with lemony puttanesca sauce. Leave space for the rich double chocolate mousse though!
Peter's Roast*
$30 pp

Excite your tastebuds with a tender Garlic glazed Beef Roast with melt-in-your-mouth roast potatoes, pumpkin, kumera twists and greens - all with a rich gravy.

For the sweet tooth you can finish with our popular dessert chocolate, rainforest honey mousse.

Start with our spicy pumpkin soup with crusty bread - then warm yourself from the inside out with tender chicken pieces combined with mushrooms and leek folded into a creamy white wine sauce with a hint of dill and topped with puff pastry.

Prawns quickly sizzled in a hot wok and covered with our sweet chilli sauce. Served with vegies and jasmine rice. Follow with delicious mango yoghurt.

Mediterranean vegetables with parmesan basil cous cous served with The Stay’s rich chocolate mousse.

Singapore Sate
$20 pp

Spice up your evening with Singapore sate beef or chicken stir fried with vegetables and served with egg noodles. Finish with the cool taste of mango icecream.
Go Italian
$25 pp

Enjoy our Parmesan bread before tucking into homemade vegetable Lasagne. Finish with the irresistible chocolate, rainforest honey mousse
Light Meals

For the smaller appetite we have a selection of lighter meals.

Smoked ham, asparagus, corn and tomato quiche served with tabbouli.

NEW - Vegetarian toastie   $12-pp
Lightly toasted Turkish bread topped with tomato paste, avocado, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, sundried tomatoes, olives and cheese. Served with a side salad.

Moroccan Chicken $15 pp
Experience the subtle flavours of Middle Eastern spices in a light mix of tender chicken, toasted pine nuts, coriander and greens. Served with fluffy couscous.

An Enchanted Broccoli Forest

Let your tastebuds wander through The Stay's Enchanted Broccoli Forest.

Savour the flavours of potatoes, kumera, pumpkin, olives and broccoli in a tomato, garlic and rosemary sauce.

Chicken or Vegetable Laksa

The Healthy Pizza - $10 pp
Tomato paste, garlic, onions, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, olives, cheese plus your choice of bacon or not, all on our home made base.

Hearty Vegetable Soup and Bread
$7.50 pp

Greek Chicken
- $10pp
Not a traditional Greek dish, it celebrates the wonderful ingredients synonymous with Greek food: fetta , black olives and tomatoes.



Gourmet Pies

Australian Seafood Pie - $20 pp
This one's special - prawns, scallops, Oysters and fish poached in white wine and then folded into a white wine sauce before being topped with a light puff pastry.

Mountain Pie -$12 pp
Tender lean beef slow cooked in red wine with spices and a rich mushroom sauce. Topped with a light puff pastry

Spicy Curry Pie - $12 pp
Your choice of either beef or chicken and vegetables simmered in a spicy curry sauce, topped with puff pastry.

Zesty spinach and ricotta pie ($8)
 
• Celebrate good times....

There are times when you just have to say "yes!" On those important occasions when you really should indulge, Kathryn's Black Forest Cake is in a class of its own.

You'll definitely have to order this one early, as it takes two days to create
$30 per cake.
